Why We Exist

Two economies, one missing bridge.

The world's economic and geopolitical landscape is being redrawn — across trade, investment, energy and technology. China, as the world's largest energy consumer, one of its largest infrastructure investors, and Asia's most consequential economic actor, will play a defining role in the global economy ahead.

Iran, with among the world's largest oil and gas reserves, extensive mining potential, a strategic transit position, a large domestic market and a skilled workforce, is positioned to become one of China's most important regional partners. The comprehensive Iran–China cooperation agreement — whatever the pace of its implementation — signals genuine intent to deepen this relationship, and opens a rare window for Iran's private sector.

We believe this is more than a commercial opportunity. It is a chance to build a lasting, influential private institution that becomes one of the principal drivers of Iran–China economic cooperation.

Today, a reputable Chinese company weighing entry into the Iranian market faces the same questions every time: where to start, which projects are real, which Iranian partners can be trusted, what contract structure fits, what the risks are, how financing works, how licensing is obtained, and who can walk the project through to execution. Iranian companies looking toward China face the mirror image — limited visibility into Chinese decision-making, difficulty reaching credible partners, cultural gaps, and legal, financial and contractual complexity, with no single professional body to manage the whole journey.

The gap in the market is the absence of a professional platform to connect, develop and manage Iran–China cooperation — a China Desk, built for companies rather than governments.

Our Idea

An ecosystem, not an agency

We are not building an ordinary trading company. We are building a private Iran–China cooperation ecosystem — the first point of reference for any Chinese company entering Iran, and any Iranian company entering China. Development partner, project designer, investment facilitator, relationship manager and professional-services provider across the full cycle of cooperation. In practice, our role resembles firms like Deloitte or PwC — built specifically for Iran and China.

Vision

The reference platform

To become the most credible and influential private platform for Iran–China cooperation in energy, oil, gas, petrochemicals and infrastructure across West Asia.

Mission

Lower cost, time and risk

To reduce the cost, time and risk of cooperation between Iranian and Chinese companies, and to raise the likelihood that joint projects succeed — not merely by participating in projects, but by originating new ones, connecting capital with technology, and bringing the two countries' professional networks together.

Timing

Why now

We believe the time to begin is now. Competition for Chinese capital, technology and companies across the region will only intensify in the years ahead — and the countries that build professional cooperation infrastructure early will capture the larger share of this market.

At home, attention to Iran–China cooperation is rising, and numerous projects are expected across energy, infrastructure, industry, technology and transport. In this environment, a professional private institution able to identify, structure and convert these opportunities into real projects becomes a meaningful competitive advantage.

Our Edge

Trust, not just transactions

What sets this platform apart is not the ability to trade or execute a project on its own. The real advantage is a trusted network of relationships, knowledge, experience, specialised services and mutual understanding of both business environments. The goal is simple: every Chinese company should feel that working with us makes entering the Iranian market shorter, safer and less risky — and every Iranian company should feel the same about entering China.

Proposed Structure

A specialised holding, built in stages

The platform develops as a holding company, with the following entities forming progressively as the market grows.

Iran China Desk — Holding
Investment Project Development & Financing Co.
International Trade Co.
Advisory & Specialised Services Co.
Project Management Co.
China Market Studies & Monitoring Centre
How We Work

Engagement models

Value is created — and shared — through several complementary models, chosen to fit the nature of each engagement.

Retainer

Ongoing advisory retainer

A fixed monthly or annual fee for continuous, long-term advisory support — standing availability for questions, meetings, opportunity sourcing, market and risk analysis, partner introductions, negotiation support and follow-through on operational matters.

Project

Consulting fee

A standalone contract and fee for a defined engagement — feasibility studies, concept engineering studies, market studies, risk assessment, financial modelling and similar specialised work.

Contingent

Success fee

For engagements with an uncertain outcome — securing a licence, closing a procurement negotiation, concluding a services contract, completing a fund transfer — a fee is paid on achievement of the defined result.

Origination

Project development fee

The platform takes an opportunity from concept through to investment- or execution-readiness: opportunity identification, initial studies, business and financial models, partner identification, licensing, investment documentation and investor negotiation.

Equity

Project equity participation

On selected larger projects, the platform may take a share of project ownership in lieu of part or all of its cash fee, aligning our upside with the project's long-term value.

Joint Venture

Equity in joint ventures

Where an Iranian–Chinese joint venture is formed, the platform may take a stake in recognition of its role in structuring the partnership, selecting members, drafting the cooperation agreement and coordinating the negotiation.

Trading

Trading margin

Direct participation in export, import and trade of goods, equipment, raw materials and oil and petrochemical products, earning margin and trade-related fees.

Delivery

Project management fee

Planning, coordination, progress control, and management of time, cost, quality, risk, contracts and stakeholder communication across a project's delivery.

Technology

Technology transfer fee

Identifying technology, selecting the right partner, negotiating and structuring technology-transfer agreements, coordinating training and localisation, and overseeing implementation.

IP

Licensing fee

Structuring, negotiating and executing licensing agreements for technology, software, brands, trademarks and know-how, paid as a lump sum or on a usage basis.

Data

Market intelligence subscription

A continuous China–Iran market monitoring service — analytical reports, market data, investment opportunities, regulatory changes, company introductions, trend analysis, exhibition reports and tender information, available by monthly or annual subscription.

Membership

China Desk membership

A membership tier offering information services alongside partner introductions, specialist advisory, invitations to private sessions, trade-delegation hosting and travel, investment-opportunity introductions and access to the platform's network.

Diligence

Due diligence fee

Background checks, company credit assessment, financial-capacity review, legal-status review, risk identification and specialised reporting ahead of international contracts.

Valuation

Valuation fee

Economic, financial and investment valuation of companies, assets, oil and gas fields, plants and equipment, using standard, science-based methods.

Financing

Financial & financing advisory fee

Capital-structure design, selection of financing routes, and negotiation with banks, investment funds, financial institutions and domestic and international investors, including financial modelling.

Compliance

Sanctions & risk-management advisory fee

Given the specific conditions surrounding Iran's international activity, managing risk around banking constraints, insurance, transport and fund transfers is a distinct advisory practice, delivered with legal, financial and international specialists.

Training

Training & capacity-building revenue

Courses, workshops and seminars on doing business with China, investment, international negotiation, project management, international contracts, energy, transport and financing for companies, managers and specialists.

Events

Conference & event revenue

Conferences, specialised exhibitions, B2B sessions, trade delegations and investment-opportunity events, monetised through registration, sponsorship, exhibition space and related services.

Digital

Digital platform & online services

Over time, a comprehensive digital platform for Iran–China cooperation — project and investor listings, a company database, management dashboards, intelligent search, market analysis and professional networking — monetised via subscriptions, premium services and data.

Capital

Capital-raising fee

Where capital for a project is raised from a Chinese fund or company, a success-based fee — typically a percentage of capital raised, scaled to deal size and complexity — is earned, the same model used by investment banks and international financial advisors on large transactions.

Who We're Looking For

Beyond capital, we need people

Building this requires more than financial capital — it requires the right human capital: people with professional experience and a long-term outlook, ready to help build a lasting institution.

  • Professional reputation and standing
  • Management and executive experience
  • Business-development capability
  • Knowledge of the energy sector or international trade
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • The ability to build cooperation networks
  • A long-term, entrepreneurial outlook
Foundational Principles

Non-negotiable, from day one

  1. Full compliance with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and of China
  2. Transparency in commercial and financial relationships
  3. Confidentiality of client and partner information
  4. Respect for national interests and the legitimate interests of both parties
  5. Professionalism in negotiation and in project execution
  6. Creating sustainable value for all stakeholders
  7. Avoiding dependence on any individual — never resting on personal relationships alone
An Invitation

This is not a finished plan — it's an invitation to think together.

We believe the opportunity in front of Iran and China is rare and long-term. Approached from the outset with a professional, structured, forward-looking mindset, it can become the principal reference for economic cooperation between the two countries in energy, infrastructure and investment. If you share this view, we'd like to talk — not as a partner in one company, but as a co-founder of a lasting ecosystem.
